WOVEN BY HAND FROM A SINGLE WIRE
The manufacturing of the wire baskets started in 1922 and ever since then the baskets have been woven by hand using the exact same technique.
Our unique construction, a single hand-woven long wire completely without welding, is the reason that the baskets are so durable – there are simply no parts of the basket that can fall apart.

MATERIALS
KORBO Handmade Wire Baskets are available in two different materials: galvanized steel and acid-proof stainless steel.
Galvanized steel:
Galvanization is a process used to prevent corrosion of the steel by adding a physical barrier of zinc to the surface. Galvanized steel has been effectively used for more than 150 years and the wire will, over time, obtain a beautiful matte patina.
Acid-proof stainless steel:
Acid-proof stainless steel contains nickel and molybdenum that together with steel form an alloy which is completely stainless. Unlike galvanized wire, acid-proof stainless wire is not just protected on the surface; it is stainless all the way through. The baskets in acid-proof stainless steel have a surface that will remain shiny regardless of environmental exposure.
